Rectus femoris muscle–tendon unit function during gait
Project overview
The rectus femoris muscle plays a key role in controlling the knee during walking, and altered function can contribute to gait abnormalities.
This project investigated how the muscle–tendon unit of the rectus femoris behaves during gait. By examining muscle and tendon function together, the study aimed to better understand how mechanical and neural factors contribute to movement patterns.
These insights help clarify the role of specific muscles in gait and may inform targeted interventions in pediatric rehabilitation.
