Physical therapists’ perceptions of treatment approaches for toe walking in children: A qualitative study
Project overview
Toe walking is a common movement pattern in children, yet there is wide variation in how it is treated in clinical practice.
This research explores how physical therapists in Israel perceive toe walking, how they decide on treatment approaches, and what factors influence their clinical reasoning. Through qualitative interviews, the study captures therapists’ experiences, beliefs, and challenges in managing this condition.
The findings aim to highlight areas of consensus and variability in practice, helping to inform future guidelines and education for pediatric rehabilitation.
